Best Cafes in Daegu, South Korea
Starbucks Daegu Jongro Goteak
대구광역시 중구 중앙대로77길 22
77-gil 22 Jungang-daero, Jung-gu, Daegu, South Korea
The newest addition to the Daegu cafe scene is this beautiful Starbucks that opened October 2022! The new location is housed inside a traditional wooden Hanok, a building style that’s been around in Korea for centuries. Even if you’re not a fan of Starbucks or large chains, this new one is a beaut, and worth a visit. It’s conveniently a short walk from the Jungangno metro stop, one of Daegu’s main stations downtown.
Tree Farm
트리팜대구광역시 동구 송정동 838-1
838-1 Songjeong-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu
Tree Farm Cafe is a local favorite that’s tucked away deep in the rural countryside near Palgong Mountain. It can be a bit of a trek to get to, so I recommend maybe taking a bus as far as you can and then opting for a taxi. The scenic landscape around is calming and pretty and it’s a great place to spend the day.
La Mia Emily
2061-2 Dalgubeol-daero, Jung-gu, Daegu
대구 중구 달구벌대로 2061-2
La Mia Emily’s slogan is “An oasis in the city” and an oasis it is! This absolutely adorable cafe is located down an otherwise drab and empty alleyway and opens up into a gorgeous cafe with whimsical garden seating. Offering coffee, brunch and desserts, my goal is to become a regular. Hands down la mia Emily is one of my favorite cafes in all of Daegu.
Schoron
7 Myeongnyun-ro 11-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu
대구 중구 명륜로11길 7
Situated down an unlikely and seemingly remote side street, Schoron is definitely a hidden gem of a brunch cafe. Offering more than just brunch, this modern diner should be at the top of your must-try Daegu restaurants. The eggs Benedict is to die for and may be one of the best I’ve had yet!
Cafe Lucid
94 Dongseong-ro 4-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu
대구 중구 동성로4길 94
On the same Dongseongro Café Alley as Ryu and My Coffeecal Romance, Cafe Lucid always graces the top spots of Daegu’s best cafe lists. With so many fabulous options in one single alley, it can be difficult to choose where to grab your next cup of joe!

Le Pouldu
26 Dongseong-ro 1-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu
대구 중구 동성로1길 26
Inside and out, Le Pouldu is a beautiful bakery cafe. Walk-in and instantly enjoy the sights and smells of freshly baked goods. Sample the offerings and take your coffee upstairs to enjoy window seats overlooking the hopping streets of Daegu.

Farm Table Pancake House (팜테이블)
대구광역시 중구 동성로4길 109
109 Dongseong-ro 4-gil, Gongpyeong-dong, Jung-gu, Daegu
Farm Table is a pancake house with the fluffiest souffle pancakes in the city. You can come for brunch if sweet breakfast is your thing, or come enjoy some pancakes to share for dessert. They also serve up a ‘dutch baby’ that’s almost like a cross between a pancake and a funnel cake – very sweet and very yummy.
